Detailed program: to come (draft)

Day 1: Flight and transfer to the hotel in Ouarzazate

Arrival at Marrakech or Ouarzazate airport. Transfer to your hotel (your choice, see booking, preferably choose the same hotel for all. Allow 20-40€/night).

Via Marrakech airport, the taxi costs 150€/6 seats, 3h40 drive. Try to arrive at the same time in Marrakech to take the taxi together!

Day 2: Transfer Ouarzazate --> Zagora, then hike the dunes of Tinfou to Oued Draa ~ 2H30 IN SADDLE

Meet at 7 a.m. at your hotel reception. 200km, 4h drive. Reception, allocation of horses, saddle-up. Village of Tinfou where huge dunes threaten to silt up the houses. Ride between the ksours and the cultivated fields of the palm grove.

Day 3: Hike from Oued Draa to Nesrate ~ 5H IN THE SADDLE

Ride along the wadi until the Drâa wadi crosses the Jebel Bani. Then we enter the palm grove of Nesrate.

Day 4: Hike from Nesrate to Ouled Driss ~ 5H IN THE SADDLE

Crossing an old palm grove near the village of Nesrate. Crossing Ksours (small decorated villages). Arrival then at the palm grove of Tagounit. Again a crossing of dunes. Crossing the Jebel Selmane pass. 

Plateau (reg) to enjoy beautiful gaits. And back to the Draa Valley, with dunes.

Day 5: Hike from Oued Driss to  Oued Naam ~ 5H IN THE SADDLE

Arrival on horseback in the village of Ouled Driss. Bounou palm grove with a ksar (fortified village).  Beginning of the Draa Valley. Crossing dunes populated by tamarisk. Perhaps you will be lucky enough to come across nomadic camps! (khaïma: low tents made of goat and dromedary wool).

Day 6: hike from Oued Naam to Jebel Bani ~ 5H IN THE SADDLE

Saddle up and horizon as far as the eye can see. Huge dunes of the Sahara. Then we will cross a desert plateau with the presence of some umbrella acacias. 

Arrival in a small oasis, at the foot of Jebel Bani.

Day 7: Hike in Djebel Bani and transfer Ouarzazate  ~ 6H IN THE SADDLE

Climb from Jebel Bani to Jebel Saghro. Arrived at the top, we will contemplate the plateau of Feïja. Crossing the Jebel Bani (last mountain range before the Sahara) by small paths. 

Crossing the reg of Feïja. . Farewell to the team and the horses. Transfer to Ouarzazate to your hotel (170km - 3h30 drive).

Day 8: transfer to the airport & flight

Transfer to Ouarzazate or Marrakech airport & flight.
